CCBVI’S SUMMER DAY CAMP 2016: Teen Program
Ages 14 – 17
Monday, July 11th – Friday, July 22nd (Except Weekends)
The sky’s the limit for our blind youth; we want them to know it—and own it! Our summer program will build confidence and skills, stimulating youth to dream about the future while familiarizing them with the tools and resources required to achieve those goals. Fun, educational experiences with peers will include visits to the Serpentarium, Santa Cruz, a tour of Guide Dogs for the Blind, and more. Teens will learn adaptive techniques, technology and computers, explore college and career options, meet mentors and be introduced to job-seeking skills and local resources. Through CCBVI’s programs, youth will become well-rounded, successful, independent adults who contribute positively to their communities!
Space is limited; deadline to register is May 31, 2016! Open to youth ages 14-17 years who are blind and visually impaired in San Joaquin County. For more info, to request a brochure or to help CCBVI sponsor this camp, please call (209) 466-3836, Ext. 215 or email SummerCamp@communitycenterfortheblind.org.
Please share this event and help us reach every teen in our area who could benefit tremendously from this experience! Thank you for your support!
